We will be shutting down the lab for year end maintenance activities at 7am December 26th. The current plan is to open back up at 7am on January 3rd. We will update the schedule if needed.

The [https://wiki.nanotech.ucsb.edu/wiki/Optical_Film_Spectra_%2B_Optical_Properties_(Filmetrics_F10-RT-UVX) Filmetrics F10-RT] is down for possible failed harddrive. We are working to repair it.


During the shutdown this year we will be pulling all cleanroom suits and stocking new suits.
The '''[https://wiki.nanotech.ucsb.edu/wiki/Filmetrics_F40-UV_Microscope-Mounted Filmetrics F40-UV]''', also in Bay 4, can do similar reflectance measurements (but not transmission measurements).


PLEASE REMOVE ALL PERSONAL ITEMS FROM THE GOWNING ROOM PRIOR TO DECEMBER 26TH
If you need transmission measurement, the [https://wiki.nanotech.ucsb.edu/wiki/Ellipsometer_(Woollam) Woolam Ellipsometer] can do this, but may need some work to produce identical results (figuring out sample holders etc.). Let us know if you need that.

We are required to switch to new gowns in January. The new gowns won’t have pockets, but you are allowed to purchase cleanroom tool belts. Please ask staff for tool belts you can use.

The nanofab will follow this policy with masks being optional for everyone in all sections of the facility beginning March 19.
When the vendor came in to install the new top heater he wasn't able to get the z-axis (elevator motor) to move. He was able to install the new heater and do a PM on the rest of the tool. We are ordering a new z-axis controller on the recommendation of the vendor. If all goes well this should solve the issue and make the bonder fully operational. I'll send out an email once the new controller has been installed.

Lab Shutdown: Dec 26 to Jan 3rd

We will be shutting down the lab for year end maintenance activities at 7am December 26th. The current plan is to open back up at 7am on January 3rd. We will update the schedule if needed.
