Raith replaced every item that was left to replace in the column on Monday. Yesterday they performed some quick tests @ 50kV and the issue with deflector settling was gone. This is an extremely positive result! It almost certainly suggests that the issue has been repaired. However, tests @ 100 kV remain to confirm the behavior and we are doing so later today and early tomorrow morning.

===== SignupMonkey + Wiki: Off-Campus Access=====
Due to a DDoS attack affecting the Signupmonkey server, we have restricted access to the website to US locations only, including both the Nanofab Wiki and Signupmonkey.
The MLA will be down beginning on Monday 1/30 at 5:30 pm and the tool will be unavailable until around 5 pm the following day (Tuesday 1/31). HIMT needs to have Germany remote into the tool that evening to address the software issues we have been having.
I will send an email out on Tuesday once the tool is available.


If you are off-campus and experiencing issues, please utilize the UCSB VPN to access our sites. Here are the installation instructions for VPN on your device. You will need your UCSB NetID for download and installation - you would have received a UCSB NetID when you started using the NanoFab:

We have replaced the Dektak 6M with a new Dektak XT profilometer. We are currently qualifying the tool, we'll send an email when it's ready for training.

We found a blown resistor (and a questionable op amp) on one of the boards that contains the z-axis motor circuit. However, we still cannot get the tool to initialize. Next we will try swapping out the hard drive again and run some more tests.
Oven reassembled and tested.
Now available for use.

The board we were waiting on arrived, but it did not resolve the tool issue. We are working with Panasonic on the next steps.
ICP power supply has failed. We have requested a replacement from the vendor and a timeline for repair. Oxford will be shipping the parts we need for repair on Friday. Hopefully they will arrive Monday and the system will be operational Tuesday afternoon. I will update you all if that schedule changes.

Raith EBL Update

Raith replaced every item that was left to replace in the column on Monday. Yesterday they performed some quick tests @ 50kV and the issue with deflector settling was gone. This is an extremely positive result! It almost certainly suggests that the issue has been repaired. However, tests @ 100 kV remain to confirm the behavior and we are doing so later today and early tomorrow morning.
