JEOL Service will be here tomorrow morning to look at the situation. They had me try a couple of things today that didn't work. It is pointing to a gun replacement at this point. They do a have a spare gun at the JEOL facility in Pittsburgh ready to go if needed. |

We are required to switch to new gowns in January. The new gowns won’t have pockets, but you are allowed to purchase cleanroom tool belts. Please ask staff for which tool belts you can purchase. |

The MLA will be receiving its biannual service the week of June 24. The work will be performed from Monday 6/24 through Thursday 6/27. They plan to have the work completed in 3 days but want to have the 4th day available if needed. The tool will very likely be unavailable overnight Monday but should be available the rest of the |

We found a blown resistor (and a questionable op amp) on one of the boards that contains the z-axis motor circuit. However, we still cannot get the tool to initialize. Next we will try swapping out the hard drive again and run some more tests. |
