Brian received his Ph.D from UCSB in 1997. He was one of a few key personnel involved in starting WideGap Technology.
Brian is the Technical/Operational director, providing overall management and direction for all aspects of the facility

Brian directs all facility operations, working with facility, equipment, and process managers.
Brian manages the process group in the facility (currently a staff of 4), is the primary outside user contact for new projects, performs outside user fabrication work, provides guidance of equipment purchases, directs characterization of new processes, facilitates troubleshooting of process and equipment related to processing problems, and acts as a general cleanroom process consultant for all laboratory users
