Current Openings
The following are positions we are currently hiring for:
Intern - Processing Technician
- Fall 2026 positions
- All positions are currently full through Summer 2026.
- We will start interviewing for Fall 2026 openings in March/April 2026.
- This position is open to Local High-School students, City College students, UCSB students or non-students.
- No Prerequisites nor experience required.
- We prefer some experience in any hands-on or technical field (construction, car repair, electronics/hobbies etc.).
- Optionally having taken one of the UCSB cleanroom courses (not required).
- 6 month minimum hire, 10hr per week, paid. (Unpaid may also be available.)
- UCSB Work-study is accepted.
- A break during summer is acceptable, as long you can do 3 months before and 3 mo. after summer break.
- A position in the "Process Group", led by Demis D. John.
- Running thin-film deposition calibrations on various high-use tools, your data will be listed on the public Process Control data pages.
- Will transition into Lithography & Plasma-Etch & Vacuum Deposition calibrations over time.
